hello,
i am having a problem that is driving me nutts!!
i am running windows xp pro on a 2.4 ghx amd 64 3700+ with a gig of ram. let me say what first happend, i lost all of my desktop icons and everything all i could do was make a new folder and rename my account under documents and settings to get everything back because it wouldnt even restore. so that worked and i though it was ok again. well every week for about a month my desktop icons will dissapear and the pc keeps getting these restrictions that i cant even go to my display in control panel, but now for some reaSON I CAN RESTORE SO I RESTORE IT to THE DAY BEFORE AND IT ALL COMES BACK FINE BUT ABOUT A WEEK LATER I WILL LOSE EVERYTHING AGAIN, DAMN SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS :(
i have run 3 dif virus scanners norton, bit defender, and kaspersky nothing found
i have run spy bot, adaware, hijack this and trend micro anti spy and ewido. ewido found a bunch of tracking cookies but nothing major.
anyone ever seen these sympton,s and what is causing this?
