Ok I have possibly several viruses, I had avg installed and avg seemed to fin the virus and instantly remove it, as always I do a full scan when a virus is found and removed during the scan avg started to become bugged having graphic errors in the interface and components started to become inactive, the scan found nothing. I tried to uninstall avg and re-install but was unable, I also tried to install avast but when it rebooted after installing avast would not run, SB s&d would also not install or run.

I did an online scan from bitdefender and it fould and deleted 14 infected files while I didn't actually make a not of the exact viruses it founs and removed (a mistake on my part) I do remember seeing bagle quite a lot along with worm rootkit tojan and memscanner. After the scan had deleted the infected files I did a restart and noticed that Hldrrr.exe was not responding, I did a search for it and found it was an infection, hence my posting here.

I can not get hijackthis to run, I get an error that says hijackthis.exe is not a valid win32 application, the same error I get when I try to run avast and S&D.

update:

I am unable to get into safe mode and am still unable to get HJT to work, when I try to run HJT from it's installed folder rather than the shortcut on the desktop it just freezes.

Hi

Tell tale signs really indicate that you have Bagle worm there.

This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

However, if you do not have the resources to reinstall your computer and would like me to attempt to clean it, I will be happy to do so.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Please let us know what you have decided to do in your next post.
