do we get a reply when submitting malware? it has been great to actually know if it was real malware that i submitted, but i have not submitted anything yet, because i am scared to submit them, maybe i will be getting malware on the computer when submitting them. i have them on a cd, they are in separate folders. should i turn off the antivirus when submitting so that it doesnt interfere and detects the files i submit? spybot is not a antivirus so maybe i shouldnt submit viruses, only other malware like trojans and spyware.

Not viruses no. ;)

There usually won't be a reply as we receive thousands of submissions daily.

Thank you for any submittals, zip or rar the file/s and send them to: detections AT spybot.info

Cheers.

ok. i think the only way to get spybot to scan the folders is to place the folders in the download directories.

I don't think there should be anything in the download directories.

i have installers and keygens on the cd, as i understand the only way to scan the installers and keygens is to place them in the download directories.

from this thread: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=1699 Put a password like 'infected' on the archive to avoid it being filtered by automatic scanners.

is 7-zip able to put a password on the zip or rar files? because i wouldn buy winrar just for that, but i dont know if winrar can do that either but i think so. can the windows zip thing put a password on the files?

the installers and keygens is in separate folders, like a installer for a program in one folder, and a keygen in the same folder. i have several folders, should i rar or zip them all in one file? or one at a time? must i take the installers and keygens out of the folders and only rar or zip for example spybot.exe?

i will submit later today when receiving an answer on this or else it will be difficult to submit.

i have trouble setting a password and submitting the malware i have, i was using 7-zip, i right clicked the zip file and choosed compress and send with email, i set the password on the infected file and was clicking the ok button, then the outlook express wizard was opening and asked what name i wanted to use on the from field and after that i was asked to write in my email adress, i did that, but afterwards outlook asked what e-mail server i will use (or something like that) and i dont know what to type in in the server field, i use online mail and have never sent e-mail with outlook.

is there some software i can download to set a password on the file and just upload it to my online mail? that would have been easier as i dont know what to type in in the server field. i couldnt get 7-zip to set a password without outlook asking what e-mail server to set.

what should i do?
