View Full Version : Internet working in safemode but not in normal

Problem is that, certain sites I use ie Google and Facebook are down whilst other sites take an age to load up. However these websites work fine and fast in Safe Mode but not in 'normal' mode. Done a Spybot search and then removed what they found, mainly tracking cookies. Then done an avast search which found nothing but still the problem remained.

My router connection is telling me I have a very good connection. Here is a HJT log:

Anything of note?

Just finished another Spybot search and it has found the Virtumonde virus/malware/trojan. Any ideas on how to remove it?

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Posting additional comments or logs before a volunteer responds, can push you back instead of forward, because your thread ends up with a newer date. Also, helpers may think you are already being assisted because of the post count. The same applies to bumping, please don't.
You are infected, I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
This can be a tough infection to remove so do not expect fast or easy.

1) C:\DOCUME~1\Me\LOCALS~1\Temp\nswF.tmp\NM.exe <<< do you know what that file is? If not, scan it here:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and post the results. You will probably need to unhide files and folders:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

2) C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe <<< rename HJT.exe, call it AdamDr.exe that will work. The hackers hide their junk from HJT and we may see the infrection after a restart.

Post a new HijackThis log along with the information I requested.

Thanks
