i have a linux with firefox as my OS, and i tried to download spybot s+d , but it didn't work.... also, how do i know which one to dowlnload ? i have Mozilla Firefox!! Also how do i go about getting this Wine ? What is it ? Where can i find it?? any help from a pro would be greatly appreciated !!!!! Thanks!!!!!!:bigthumb:
"Wine" stands for "Wine is not an emulator".
It's similar though - its a tool that allows you to run many Windows applications on Linux, and should be part of about every major Linux distribution out there, just look into your packet manager.
But: Spybot-S&D on Wine does only protect the Wine environment, so if you don't even have Wine, installing it just for Spybot-S&D does not make much sense ;) Also, a lot of the regular Windows malware would not even work on Wine, and since your browser is outside of Wine, there's yet another reduction of risk.
