Yesterday my McAfee gave me anumber of warnings and after running S&D I found I had Virtmonde. I have attempted to fix over and over. Since finding this 2 problems developed the Windows security alert baloon is permenantly red and cannot be change, even though McAfee and Control Panel indicate auto updates are on (This problem is resolved temporatily after Spybot fix), the other was my desktop went completely blue with a spware warning (McAfee removed this virus and I changed the desktop back so resolved). I have run TM HJT as suggested. Please find results below. I appreciate your help.

Ken545,
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately my system ground to a halt over the weekend when I really need it. I had to format and reinstall. That wasn't so smooth as my Windows disc decided to corrupt and would not read. I managed to get things sorted and have just reinstalled S&D on top of my McAfee. I have run bot check and all is okay less some tracking cookies which it fixed ok. Thank you for your time hopefully I'll stay free of viruses as I won't be reinstalling limewire.
Regards
Mark

Hello Mark,

All the file sharing programs are bad news, the programs themselves are ok, but you just never know whats coming along with the song or file you downloaded, I stay away from them myself.

How did I get infected in the first place ? Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.
