Upon finishing the install of Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6 final (majorgeeks download) this poped up. There is a cursor blinking in random places all over the cmd window and has been for over 5 minutes now. I was installing the 1.6 final over the last 1.6 beta if that information helps any.
Thanks.

Update: I had to exit out of the cmd window and then use the End Program Now button. Finished with the restart system now prompt and all seems to be OK.

I think the problem might be where you install over the previous version. Version 1.6 is the final release.
Have you uninstalled the last one? Are there two entries in the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS window.

I figured that was my mistake which is why I was sure to mention I was installing over the old version.
Checked add/remove and program files and there is only the new version listed.
No apparent problems, just thought this may be worth a mention.

I'm not sure if a complete uninstall and reinstall is necessary, but I don't think it is at the moment.
You're fine.

Same thing happened to me during the 1.6 beta testing. See the report here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=30453&page=2#11
and my later explanation of what happened [after the second quote] here:

To summarize, the installer didn't download the spybotsd_includes.exe file (and either created a 0 byte version or saved an incomplete version) and what you saw is what happens when the installer then tries to run that bad file.
This is something which really should be addressed in the installer. People could easily think it's some kind of malware running.
