VirtuMonde Infection!

Hello,
First of all thanks in advance for any help. Just today, IE started acting weird so I scanned my machine with Spybot and found that it is infected with VirtuMonde. I couldn't remove it through spybot and searched these forums to see that analyses of my situation requires a HJT log file.

Of note, I have a Windows Security Shield sitting in system tray saying that my "automatic updates" are turned off. When I try to turn them ON, Security Center tells me that it can't do it here and I have to go to control panel -> automatic updates to turn it ON. When I go there, I find that Automatic Updates are already on.

I had my computer off the net and turned off after posting my first post. I see that after the reboot security center warning is gone that was telling me that my Automatic Updates were turned OFF when they weren't. I checked both security center and from Control panel -> automatic updates that Automatic Updates are infact Turned ON. Thought of updating this to my post earlier as it may make any difference.

Please help me out with Virtumonde. Thanks and appreciated.

All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Posting additional comments or logs before a volunteer responds, can push you back instead of forward, because your thread ends up with a newer date. Also, helpers may think you are already being assisted because of the post count. The same applies to bumping, please don't.
You are infected, I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
This can be a tough infection to remove so do not expect fast or easy.

1) C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\<<< your Java program is VERY BADLY out of date and likely why you are infected, read this information:

2) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

3) Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop

Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the combofix log and a new HJT log.
