I'm currently running S&D 1.52 successfully under Windows 95A. I would like to go ahead and update to 1.6. Are there any known difficulties doing so with Windows 95A? I had installed the supplemental files for Windows 95 when I updated to 1.52--do I need any further things for Windows 95 to run 1.6?

P.S. I very much appreciate continued Windows 95 support!

Hello,

It should also work with version 1.6 :)

Thank you. FYI--I had a flawless install, update, and immunization. Everything seems to be working fine.

I think you need to upgrade the version of Windows....at least you can upgrade to Windows ME.....no harm.....:D:

However, with better performance, it still comes with a price. Minimum RAM is needed, the setup CD, money, time, effort, and sweat.

I know this might be a impossible feat, however, Windows XP will be supported till 2014. If you have enough money to purchase a new OS then it would be best.

I mean like a console... the desktop not just the installation CD.

But you should hurry if you do so, because Windows XP was off the selves on June 30th, 2008. I think that DELL still offers the solution.

Yeah, Dell and some others still offer XP - and of course it is available on mini-notebooks like the Eee PC from Asus. Another way you can get XP is if you 'downgrade' from Vista

For the member who wanted me to post back after a scan, I did the fullest possible scan this morning, and it went perfectly well. My computer has 64Mb RAM memory, if that helps. I am always careful to shut down as many other programs as possible when I do a scan to give over as much of the resources to S&D as I can.

Ew. Those labtops are like... really low quality ones. :P

@reel, Spybot-SD 1.6.0.30 should work with no problems. If you are unsure if it is compatible (future versions) check the details of Spybot in the product description (site page).

64MB should do fine for Windows 95. My aunt uses Windows ME with 64MB of RAM and Spybot runs fine... just need some time to scan and boot up.
