Hello,

I would like to inform the developers...that the new feature of right click shell extension scan freezes the pagefile.

Method to reproduce the bug:

1. Right Click the C: drive (Windows Installation directory)
2. Click Scan

Behaviour:

Windows Default Page file usage increases to 100% gradually....ultimately leading to Automatic increase of the page file size, without a breakpoint. Windows finally freezes.

Severity of Bug: Critical

I've run several scans wih the new "Right Click Scan option" and had no problems with it.

As i said before, scan the entire Windows Installation drive (by default its C:\)

The question perhaps is why one would use the right click option (which I would have thought would normally expected to be used for quick scans of a single folder) to scan an entire partition.

Personally, I believe that to stop this kind of occurrence, context menu scanning should be disabled in certain places - I think this is one of these places :snorkle:

if the system is managing the pagefile, that does not happen, at least not to me ;)
