Hello,

I had some help with a vundo problem a month or so ago and thought that everything was fine. I downloaded the firewall that was suspected and haven't downloaded any programs since then. But all of a sudden my Symantic Antivirus started having antivirus notifications. A new notification comes up every minute or so. I just don't know what to do with it.

and Symantec was blocking attempts to infect you, you would be getting notifications. I suggest you try this.
1) Update Symantec
2) Drop offline
3) Run a system scan
4) I don't need the log, just a report on finding, does the AV find anything it cannot deal with. Blocking intrusions is what you pay them to do.

Once I have additional information, we can decide if we need to do more.

and the topic had to be closed before you did not respond?

Towards the end of a cleanup please make sure you follow through with any final log requested, even if it appears to you that your computer is back to normal operation.
As much as we like our members we would rather not see you back in a few weeks because there was no follow up with the helper.If you expect service here, you will not get it if you do not comply with instructions.

Sorry about the other thread I got really busy with work and my wife is pregnant and almost due that I totally forgot cause my computer seemed to be working fine.

I ran the antivirus scan and everything came up fine -- i also ran the spybot scan and everything was fine there as well. Its weird cause the only websites we were going to was like CNN, Gmail, and other well known sites. We only really use the computer for pretty basic things.

But for a while we would get the alert every 20 seconds or so and it was really annoying. But it hasn't happened for the past day or so and the computer seems to be working fine now.

So I guess if there isn't anything that you can see in the HJT log it must have just been the Antivirus stopping an intrusion, but I don't really know why there would have been that intrusion because I have never had the antivirus pop up every 20 seconds or so for hours.

But any other advice would be great.
