Hi all, I have a real big problem you see yesterday I ran avast pro and it found a virus in memorey (autoplay.exe) so I moved it to the chest and then it told me to run a boot scan so I did. The boot scan found 2 (both in different directorys but both named autoplay.exe) infected files so I moved them to the chest. Then I ran an online bitdefender scan it found 4 infected files, then I ran a trendprotect scan and it found a trojan. So then I thought I should do a clean install. I have an hp so there are 2 partions c: and recovrey partion d: so I used my 8 disc set to reinstall windows xp. so when I finish with the recovery discs I reinstalled avast pro and it found the virus agian autoplay.exe. But what I do not under stand is that I moved the files to the chest firt and after I reinstalled windows it got back again. Please help!
