My computer has been very slow lately so i decide to use S&D and it found a few things. I removed them all and scanned my computer again to see if it worked. Everything was removed accept one of the things that was there before, virtumonde. I kept trying to remove this, restart my computer,re-scan, and remove again but it just won't go away. Help me pease?

I have been reading some of the other posts on virtumonde. It seems most peoples problem was the scan being stuck on it. Mine scans fine but when i click "fix selected problems" it says it fixes. I scan it again and its back. I want it gone foreve please :D

What version of Spybot - Search & Destroy are you running (Spybot » Help » About)?

If you are not running Spybot 1.6.0.30, consider upgrading. The downloads are located here:
Mirror selection - The home of Spybot-S&D!
http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html
There are two things that you can try to get rid of the things that Spybot-S&D is having difficulty removing:
Try to run it the next time you reboot.
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Settings > look for "System start" (located half way down the page).
Check the option: "Run program once at next system startup".
Reboot the system.
Run it in Safe mode.
Reboot your system in Safe mode and run Spybot-S&D.
If you are running Spybot 1.6.0.30 and it still fails to correct the problem, consider posting in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum and having someone take a look at your system.

If you decide to have an experienced malware removal specialist assist you, please follow the procedure in this link to run scans and produce a HijackThis log: "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) ( http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288).
After you have completed the required scans and produced the requested logs, start your own thread in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum, making sure to post the HijackThis log produced from the above instructions.

Actually I don't have a:

... super-speedy keyboard ...
And I am certainly not a "touch typist", unless you consider one finger on each of two hands and looking at the keyboard "touch typing".

Like in real estate where it is all about "… location, location, location …", I guess in forum posting that it is all about "… timing, timing, timing …".

great that you got combofix to run
usually they ask that you run a hjt after running combofix
DO NOT RUN ANY OTHER AV OR ANTISPYWARE SCANS WHILE BEING HELPED
patience

Hello,

ninja
usually they ask that you run a hjt after running combofix
DO NOT RUN ANY OTHER AV OR ANTISPYWARE SCANS WHILE BEING HELPED
patience

I realise intentions are good, however everyone please refrain from offering advice to users once they have requested assistance in the HJT forum; especially after an analyst has started working their malware forum topic.

That is the person who is giving the instructions to be followed.

FYI: Do NOT run 'fixes' before helpers have analyzed the HJT log (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=16806)

I don't wish to close topics, however I will need to if a thread in the Spybot-S&D forum starts infringing on a user's malware forum topic.

Regards.
