Thanks Pieter,

I did finally find the virus.
AVG recognizes it, but can't delete or heal it.
AVG finds: 6 or 7 files that are described as "Java/Byte Verify"
The culprit was a file in the following location: (My PC primary username)
C:\doc&set\username\Appl data\Sun\Java\Deployment\Cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\arc.zip-68f7ffc7-40495250.zip
This file extracts to produce:
VerifierBug.class
Counter.class
Beyond.class
web.exe (I think) Generic SSX virus
and the original file ard.zic above^
possibly afile named: !update.exe is involved, but AVG can heal if the rest is gone.
I cut the protocols for you. Though I don't know why they are there. i do use the Logitec service Video Call. Safe to delete with Hijack this??
Here's the log.
Note* O23 - Service: Tasck Scheduler item si still there.

I REALLY appreciate your help!

If you are unable to update you can manually update by going here:

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp (http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)

After the reboot, go back into the Control Panel and double-click the Java Icon.
Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete Files button.
There are three options in the window to clear the cache - Leave ALL 3 Checked

Downloaded Applets
Downloaded Applications
Other Files

Click OK on Delete Temporary Files Window
Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.
Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.

Can you do a Find Files for MStask.exe ?
Let me know if and where you find it.

The Logitech entries I listed are not necessary, but they won't do any harm if you leave them.

Pieter,

Updated Java with no incidents.
Cleared the Temp. Files as well.
MStask.exe was found only at the following location:
C:\Program Files\Security Stronghold\True Sword\Infected
And it is still in the HJT scan.
Is it really isolated though?

Thanks again for all your help.
This is th BEST forum!
What would the common person do without you folks?

Aha. That clears things up a bit.

So all we need to do is remove that service.

Click Start > Run type services.msc > OK
In the list of services find:
Task Scheduler (Schedule)
Rightclick that line and choose Properties.
On the General tab Stop and set the service to disabled.
In HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete an NT service
In the dialog box paste: Schedule
