Allow change/Deny change inoperative

I tried eliminating a Yahoo or Google toolbar and got message " Spybot has detected an important registry entry that has been changed . I hit the box "Deny Change" and got popup "13.32 Change Denied". This box kept repeating itself and sent me back to the orginal . Hitting "accept" did the same thing. I could not get rid of either box. FINALLY, i had to uninstall Spybot to get rid of this mess. Any suggestions?

If you were trying to eliminating a Yahoo or Google toolbar, do not deny the registry change that will allow that to occur.
