Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do. This can be a tough infection to remove so do not expect fast or easy.

You are very infected with multiple infections including Vundo. If I was Spybot S&D I would not want to be installed on the computer either. Do not install anything I do not request for the duration of this cleanup.

1) SpySweeper may block out tools, turn it off complete when you run them. If it is a trail, you may uninstall it if you wish.

2) This HJT log was posted in safe mode, post all HJT log in Normal Mode unless I request otherwise.

3) Thanks to andymanchesta and anyone else who helped with the fix.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop
http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
Choose your usual account.
Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
Finally post the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

(wait until you finish to post report and logs)

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

4) Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop.

Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the Report.txt from SDFix, the combofix log and a new HJT log.

I followed your instructions. Here are the results. SDFix ran and cleared some things up. My desktop is back to normal. I was not able to run the combofix. When I double clicked on the file, nothing happened. Here is the log from SDFix and HJT. Thanks!!!

Thanks for returning this information, you still have a vundo infection, SDFix does not remove it. You need to get combofix to run. Read the tutorial, turn off any programs that might cause problems like a-squared Anti-Malware and Symantec/Norton. Delete the copy you downloaded and download it again. Make sure you save it to the DESKTOP. We need to run this program for Vundo, tell me exactly what happens when you follow directions.

Thanks

Should I boot into safe mode or normal mode to run combofix?

No need to run combofix in safe mode. Review the directions I posted earlier.

Thanks

OK, I tried the instructions for combofix, but needed the admin password to get into the Windows Recovery Console. It is a friend's computer and I don't have the password. I booted into safe mode and ran combofix.exe and it ran. When the computer rebooted, it hang when creating the file, so I can't post it.

But, I was able to install Spybot after ward. It found a some malware and fixed it. I also installed Antivir and it found traces of Vundo. It is cleaning it.

So, I think I am heading in the right direction. Here is the HJT log after running Spybot (but before running Antivir).

Thanks for all your help.

I have not heard of a computer needing a password to install combofix? The problem did not occur with SDFix?

It is a friend's computer and I don't have the password.
I suggest you contact the owner of the computer for the help you need installing and running combofix. Once again, I will say that you do not need to run it in safe mode. It can be run there, but it is not required.

Thanks

The password was when I was trying to load the Windows Recovery Console (which was in the combofix instructions).

Combofix did run in safe mode and cleaned up some problems. I have since then run Spybot Search and Destory and did a scan with Anti-Vir. All is looking good now. Thanks again for all your help.

Combofix did run in safe mode and cleaned up some problemsI have yet to see a combofix log and have no idea if you did or did not install Recovery Console. I do suggest you remove combofix from your computer.
Click START then RUN
Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

I also suggest you delete SDFix from your computer.
