thank you for your time with the problem i am having. ok i know when i run spybot ,it gives me virtumonde as a problem...i did not know about the windows one care,it does not show it to be running..and i can not run combo fix, i get a error..ComboFix.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Thanks but combofix is the tool that removes the bad junk, if you have not run it, then the HJT log is the same as the last one.

Is this your computer? Click Start > Control Panel > Security Center > click the dropdown arrow by the green ON button across from Virus Protection and tell me what it says your antivirus program is.

Now let's get combofix to run...delete any copy you have one the computer and download it again following these directions:

Double click on Combo-Fix.exe & follow the prompts.

If that does not work, then boot to safe mode and run it there:

Once combofix runs, then create and post a new HJT log after combofix.
This is a fairly simple process, download, run, post the log. If you need help with this ask someone with more computer experience to give you a hand. If you want to see what the log looks like, look at some other members topic, it is used on about every one.

Thanks, follow these directions.

1) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Post a new HJT log and tell me how the computer is running. Once that log is posted, do this.

Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here.

ok i must be a complete idiot,under tools and then folder options,i get either file extentions or file types,where do i go from there?i dont see a view tab..i iried search and then i typed what the computer could do to itself,but it was not a valid windows command,if you get my meaning..so right now im lost. any ideas.thank you again for your time,you have been most helpful
