Hello Tony,
Been at this forum over a year and another one that I have been working on for the last 5 years I have over 7000 posts. Most of us volunteers belong to a few forums that we help out on. I think in the past 6 years I may have cleaned over a 1000 or more computers. I wish the public didn't need us but unfortunately the bad guys are still out and about.
When you post a Hijackthis log, when it opens in Notepad, go up to the top and click on Format and make sure to UNCHECK wordwrap, Its hard to read your log the way you posted it.
Malwarebytes removed a bunch of bad stuff, your computer should show some signs of improvement but there is most likely more garbage to remove. This program is free by the way and yours to keep, check for updates and run a scan a few times a month.
This is another free program written by one of our own people
Please download ATF Cleaner (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1) by Atribune to your desktop.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up
This next program will find bad files and such if there are still some present, be sure to read it over and follow the instructions.
Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) or Here (http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop.
In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download.
It must be saved directly to your desktop.
1. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan.
Click on this link (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html) to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
Remember to re enable the protection again afterwards before connecting to the net
2. Close any open browsers and make sure you are disconnected from the net. Unplug the cable if need be before running combofix.
IF you have not already done so Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet when it starts.
If there is no internet connection when Combofix has completely finished then restart your computer to restore back the connections.
3. Now double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a report for you.
Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review

Hi Tony,
Open Notepad ( this will only work in Notepad ), go to Start> All Programs> Assessories> Notepad and copy all the text inside the Code box by highlighting it all and pressing CTRL C on your keyboard, then paste it into Notepad, make sure there is no space before and above File::
File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\bnijxpxl.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\yijqnxyv.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xnspwmnn.ini
C:\WINDOWS\system32\iohtqnrw.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wiilksda.ini
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ypwpocve.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\udlmtshj.ini
Save this as CFScript to your desktop.
Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c30/ken545/CFScript.gif
This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log.

Looking good Tony :bigthumb:
Please download ATF Cleaner (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1) by Atribune to your desktop.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up
Your Java is out of date and leaving your system vulnerable.
Go to your Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall any previous versions of Java (J2SE Runtime Environment)
It should have an icon next to it:
http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/miekiemoes/images/javaicon.jpg
Select it and click Remove.
Reboot your system.
Then go to the Sun Microsystems (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) and install the update
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7 <--This is what you need to download and install.
If you chose the online installation, it will prompt you to run the program.
If you chose the offline installation, you will be prompted to save the file and you can run it from wherever you saved it.
Then after install you can verify your installation here Sun Java Verify (http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)
I like to to do the offline installation and save the setup file in case I may need it in the future
How are things running now ??

Hi Ken,
thanks for quick response. Before conducting your latest instruction, I notice my Symantec antivirus Auto=protection finded following Trojan Vundo:
Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan
Event: Security Risk Found!
Risk: Trojan.Vundo
File: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{202550A8-7A33-4BCA-9586-051D24DDBF8F}\RP608\A0126885.dll
Location: Unknown Storage
Computer: KENALISA
User: KENALISA\SYSTEM
Action taken: Cleaned by Deletion
Date found: Thursday, 24 July 2008 10:41:34 PM
Should I still follow your latest instruction?
Thanks Tony
Tony,
Go ahead and follow the latest instructions, what your AV program found was an entry in your Windows System Restore Program, I was going to have you flush that all out when were done but you can do it after the other fixes.
System Restore makes regular backups of all your settings, if you ever had to use this program to restore your system to a previous date, you will be infected all over again so we need to clean out the previous Restore Points
Turn off System Restore.
Right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore on all Drives.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Reboot your computer
Turn ON System Restore.
Right-click My Computer.
ClickProperties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check Turn off System Restore on all Drives.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Create a new Restore Point <-- Very Important
Go to Start/ Control Panel/ Performance and Maintenance/ System Restore/ Create a New Restore Point
You need to go into the Control Panel and switch to Catagory View to be able to Create a New Restore Point
System Restore Tutorial (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html) <-- If you need it

Hi Ken,
Thanks for all the way of assistance.
Done following steps:
1) run ATF Cleaner
2) installed (JRE) 6 Update 7
3) verified the installation
4) turned off sys restore > rebooted > turned on the sys restore
5) created a new restore point
Any more instructions. One question: I have an external hard disk which stored lots of my files (no program run from this drive). Do I need to disinfect this drive? If so, How?
I post my new log file here.
Thanks
Tony

Morning Tony,
When you ran Combofix it looks like it scanned your external drive and no infected files showed up, what you can do is open My Computer and with your external drive turned on, right click on it and have Norton scan it.
Another option is to run a free online virus scanner, make sure that the drive is turned on and selected for scanning. If they find anything then post it, if they don't then let me know either way.
The rest of your log looks fine :bigthumb:
Please run this free online virus scanner from ESET (http://www.eset.eu/online-scanner)
Note: You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan
Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
Click Start
When asked, allow the activex control to install
Click Start
Make sure that the option Remove found threats is ticked, and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
Click Scan
Wait for the scan to finish
Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic
How are things running now ??

What your AV and NOD are finding are backed up files, nothing on your system to worry about.
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\backups
Open HJT and go to Misc Tools> View a list of backups and delete them all.
C:\QooBox\Quarantine
These are the backups from Combofix, delete them all
C:\System Volume Information\_restore
Bad file found here, did you follow my instructions to flush out System Restore
ATF Cleaner <-- Yours to keep, run it now and then to clean out the clutter.
Malwarebytes <-- Yours to keep also, check for updates and run a scan now and then.
Combofix Is not a general cleaning tool, just run it with supervision or you can bork your system
Click START then RUN
Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.
http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z176/EPL47/CF_Cleanup.png
When shown the disclaimer, Select "2"
The above procedure will:
Delete the following:
ComboFix and its associated files and folders.
VundoFix backups, if present
The C:\Deckard folder, if present
The C:_OtMoveIt folder, if present
Reset the clock settings.
Hide file extensions, if required.
Hide System/Hidden files, if required.
Reset System Restore.
How is your system behaving now ?

Hi Ken,
Did Combofix /u, but did not see the disclaimer. The process was completed and deleted my Combofix. My machine is working extremely well and fast, and I also gain a few GBs of space.
I am sincerely appreciated all the help you give in the past week and hope to meet you again ( I hope not because of my new Malware attack). Any maintenance suggestion?
Thanks again :wav:
Tony
Tony,
Just run the ATF Cleaner once in awhile and defrag your harddrive about once a month of so.
Just go to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools > Defragmenter and select your C: drive and go for it.
How did I get infected in the first place ? Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.
