Please can someone help I am totally self taught ( a dangerous combination). I have run Spybot S&D several ties and tried to fix but I keep finding the following problem:

I am now being plagued with adverts raning from gambling, dating and films! Also when I start pc WIndows Update is turned off each time, I have McAfee but this does not seemed to helped.
What do I need to do to remove or get advice as to what to do, bearing in mind I'm a right computer thicky!!

Please uninstall Spybot for now to make sure TeaTimer won't interfere fixing. You may reinstall it after system is clean :)
A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.
1. Download combofix from any of these links and save it to Desktop:

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you (C:\ComboFix.txt). Post that log & a fresh hjt log in your next reply
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall
Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.
If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.
If that happened we want to know, and also what process you had to end.
