can't remove "coolwwwsearch.wcadw"

The following was found on this forum:

but I hesitate to go this path, as I am not so computer saavy.

a Google search on "coolwwwsearch.wcadw" yields at least three ads for software that claim they can remove this malware: XoftSpy, StopZilla, No-Adware. Do any of these, or others, do the job, and are they safe.
Please let me know, or can anyone suggest someone in the New York metropolitan area that might be able to provide paid consultation.
