userinit.exe error

I am working on win xp, and every time i start up system i receive the following error message : userinit.exe failed initialization 0xc00000005. Click ok to terminate application. I can access some programs through task manager, but will receive more cmd.exe errors. i can see only background on desktop, no icons.
i ran spybot, no luck!
i have a hjlog....but message board keesp telling me i have too many character to post!!
