You are infected by a rouge antivirus program and maybe more. If you still need help, after you read the directions, follow the tutorial here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/uninstall-antivirus-2009
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.
Provide some feedback about the computer's performance at this point.
Thanks

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, you are doing fine, continue to read the information and follow the directions carefully.
1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)
2) Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).
3) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.
4) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sysftray2] c:\windows\fbtre6.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows defend] C:\Program Files\iSecurity\{9DA536DD-32B1-4944-B34F-98A8E18CF2BA}\install.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [24113718279572218703090591791641] C:\Program Files\Antivirus 2009\av2009.exe
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.msworld.org
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: iSecurity.cpl
Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
6) Right click Start > Explore and navigate to these files/folders and delete them if there.
c:\windows\fbtre6.exe <<< delete that file
C:\Program Files\iSecurity\ <<< delete that folder and contents
C:\Program Files\Antivirus 2009\ <<< delete that folder and contents
7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Restart and post a new HJT log and tell me about any malware issues.
Thanks...Phil
Here is how you got at least some of this infection if not all...

W32/Koobface.worm spreads via Facebook and MySpace. Current variants only target either Facebook or MySpace specifically.

If your Internet Service Provider provides security, discuss this with them. I do suggest you update the resident antivirus scanner and run a system scan to make sure it is running right and that you are clean. Let me know about any malware issues. I will post this information for you now so you can benefit from it.

ok here's where I am (thank you so much)
I uninstalled old Java, restarted , installed new java
deleted all my old restore points and created a new one
Ran the software recommended to find all the programs running at startup that didn't need to be (although there are still quite a few icons in the systray so I assume they are needed)
aliant security services is my "paid for monthly fee" supposedly live online virus protection from my ISP (although may not be the best choice apparently because they told me I was on my own when I got the virus sigh)
the other one mentioned above (authentium) I have no idea what that is??

Thanks for the feedback, ask your ISP about this: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Authentium\AntiVirus
I have had folks try to remove it and they ran into issues with it being part of the AV being supplied by their ISP. If they assure you that you do not need it then uninstall that program in Add Remove programs.
also there is a file that my antivirus is recognizing but failing to disinfect
FC102747d01
I would need the complete name of the file and the location, example:
C:\ (drive) Windows\ (folder) badfile.exe (name)
because they told me I was on my own when I got the virus sigh
Your ISP told you this? What kind of tech support is that?
I can not offer free Internet Service, but look here for freeware programs if you ever need them:

How is the computer running, any malware issues?

I seem to be ok now. The only issue is that one that pops up as a virus in my virus scan.
I think this answers the authentium question this is at the end of my aliant services virus scan log
Anti-Virus engine status
Last update: 8/14/2008 8:34:07 AM
Virus definition file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Authentium\AntiVirus\def-w32i-20080812112900-20080814030900.msp
It also says it is unable to scan 55 files? All of them say because they are password protected.
eg: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery\WinBHOje1.zip
Some files in this archive could not be scanned because they are password protected. The real-time protection will automatically scan the files when you extract them from the archive.
Here is the infected file C:\Documents and Settings\user-owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\her3qgs4.default\Cache\FC120747d01
I'll call aliant (It's Bell the big phone company) I'm very frustrated with them :(

When you remove junk with Spybot S&D, the junk in safely placed in Recovery (quarantine) and you must remove it from there, here are instructions:
http://ict.cas.psu.edu/training/howto/util/removespybot.htm#1
You do have the newest version of Spybot S&D:
Spybot-S&D 1.6 has arrived! 8. July 2008

UGH! So aliant's answer to me was a link to delete spybot and re-install a current version!!! (at least they send you to a reputable place) I deleted the file that was coming up. It's in the temp internet files and seems to store something for firefox. I delete it and when I start firefox again it reappears. My computer also seems to be not registering a file
sxlrt232.dll so they had me try and download it and place it in the system 32 file. But it's still not working.

You lost me, I have no idea what Aliant is having you do? I posted instructions for cleaning Recovery in Spybot. When you are completely finished dealing with Aliant, if you have any malware issues, post a fresh HJT log and tell me what they are.
Thanks
