Hello all. I'm hoping you can help me. Recently I have been unable to login to Hotlinkfiles.com, and my images I've hosted on them do not work anymore. Their site says they do not recognize my username whenever I try to log in. After contacting them without response, I Googled the problem, and discovered one very alarming statement, partial and vague, saying that Hotlinkfiles.com deleted all their free accounts, which would be scandalous. Anyways, then I found this thread:

If you need to register to see that, basically it says this: (the posting date is May 23, 2008)

If you are having a problem accessing Hotlinkfiles.com and have Spybot installed, please follow these steps exactly as written by their Team Member.

Do not add, change or delete steps in either Option.

OPTION #1:
-Please open the Tools menu in your Internet Explorer and choose 'Spybot - Search Destroy Configuration'.
-There you will find a drop down menu where you should select "Ask for blocking confirmation".
(3rd picture)
-If you want to visit a blocked website choose "Allow".
NOTE: This Option also applies to Firefox

If this doesn't work, try...

OPTION #2
-Run Spybot-S&D and select "Spybot-S&D" --> "Immunize" in the navigation bar on the left. Please hit "Undo".
-Then run Spybot - Search & Destroy and switch to the Advanced mode via the menu item Mode.
-Now select 'Tools' - 'Resident' from the navigation bar on the left.
-Please untick the checkbox in front of the 'SdHelper'

Please, DO NOT go back to Spybot S&D and choose "Immunize" again. This action negates all steps you took in Option #2 and will block Hotlinkfiles.com again.

If you have followed the directions above exactly as provided, and are still not able to access Hotlinkfiles.com, please Register on the Spybot Forum here for further assistance...Thanks, CII!

Well I could not do option #1 because Spybot is not present in my Tools menu on Firefox (I deleted IE long ago). I did option #2 but nothing changed with Hotlinkfiles.com.

Any advice? Hotlinkfiles.com has not been working for about three days now, and I need the pictures they're hosting for me. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm perhaps it is a separate issue? See the replies at the bottom here, including my own:

I found this, I don't know if it's of any use? Any ideas where I could go to ask this question, if there's a more appropriate place or discussion forum?
