Hi denise

Which program found those infections?

I used the HiJack This...is that what you mean?

I mean which program found Virtumonde and Zlob.

Was it spybot or Symantec?

Oh of course! Sorry.

It was spybot....I saw the files being scanned while I was running a check.

Those might be just that spybot went through definitions.

Did spybot find something?

Hi there,

When I run the scan, Spybot goes through many files called Virtumonde.sci. It normally has about 160,000 files to check, but it jumped to 280,000 (about two weeks ago) and most of the time is spent scanning this Virtumonde. The Zlob one has been there for awhile now.

At the end of the scan, Spybot didn't mention that it found either of these in its analysis.

Any ideas?

Those are normal.

Spybot goes through its malware definitions during scan; it will happen in every computer.

So in other words, you are not infected and nothing to worry about :)

So..just to make sure I understand...is this Virtumonde.sci scan something Spybot has added to check now? Like I said, I've never seen those files being scanned on my pc. THANKS! That's great news!

Exactly :)

Any other concerns?
