Yeah, I got hit with a serious virus, tried many things, been looking for most of the day through all sorts of different sources, tried MANY different things, but I just can't figure it out. I did d/l hijackthis and tried a scan.

Just as a note, for some reason after trying so many different anti-virus programs, spy doctor, kapersky(sp), spyhunter, and others. Nothing is working and I still get the occasional pop-up from this Vista Antivirus or Antivirus XP deal that says it needs to stop a virus! I can't stop it, I think I got this program to stop growing or something, because my computer is generally fine, except for the fact that when I pull up my properties for my desktop and there is no tab for background or screen saver; as well as the occasional pop-ups for that virus.

I don't know how to read this, and I even looked through a search function to see most recently modified .dll file and found one around the time it hit my computer, that's deleted now but still the problems.

For your information, Viewpoint is installed by aol probably without your knowledge. I suggest you uninstall this resource waster in Add Remove programs.

2) C:\Program Files\Webroot\Spy Sweeper\ <<< a good program but it uses a load of resources. If you do not own it, I suggest you uninstall it. One way or another I need you to turn it off so it does not block the tools we will use.

3) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.

If you are running System Configuration Utility (MSConfig) in Selective Startup mode, return to Normal mode until we finish.

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

5) Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop.

Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the combofix log and a new HJT log.
