I need to report that I have used this tool many, many times with no issues, but it can happen. Removing the junk can break your ability to connect to the internet, though I have never had it happen. To be prepared, see this link: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/winsock.htm
and this tool: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html
Download the tool to your Desktop, then move on to the removal instructions. Once the removal is complete, you will know if the 010 item is gone from the HJT log, and all is well with your connection, you may delete the tool.

This item can not be removed by HJT and this tool must be used.

Follow the directions carefully, this is the file you need to remove:
c:\windows\system32\mmchost.dll

Once the item has been removed, navigate to the file and delete it if it is there: c:\windows\system32\mmchost.dll

Run the tool that originally identified the trojan to be sure it is gone, then post a new HJT log and I will see if we need to clean.

I believe I followed your directions carefully and removed the items instructed but honestly I am not sure. The origional program that discovered it is no longer identifying it. Below is the latest HJT and hopefully you be able to tell me as you are the expert, thanks.

I will be out of town for a few days again but should have limited access to the internet and I will have the infected computer with me.

Thanks for returning your HJT log, the malware is no longer appearing in the HJT log, you can delete this program from the computer:
C:\Documents and Settings\Rob\Desktop\Zipped Items\lspfix\LSPFix.exe

Update Trend Micro and run a system scan, let me know the results.
