I have windows xp, dimension 2400, spybot will not download updates, says error retrieving update into file! Anyone have any ideas about what is happening?

What version of Spybot-SD are you using (Help>About)? You might experience this error if you are not connected to the Internet or you chose a "bad" mirror for the updates. Can you choose another sever to download the updates and see if it works?
