You can now use your login from some of those networks to log in here. And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

    We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

How do I turn off the sound?

All:

I have been using Spybot for some time and am happy with the application. However, with the new version 1.6.0 Spybot keeps informing me of its work. That's OK as far as it goes, but it insists on making little noises as it does. This is very annoying, and I cannot find any setting that allows me to make it SHUT UP and let me compose music. Is there anyway to either stop showing the announcements, and/or make Spybot stop making SOUNDS while it does?

I assume that you are talk about TeaTimer's "balloon" activity messages that include a popping sound.

To disable the presentation of those messages:
  • Right click on TeaTimer's icon (actually titled "Spybot-SD Resident") which should be present in the taskbar notification area (system tray) and uncheck "Show info balloons" by clicking on it.
