The issue my computer is having is when I type in an address it changes and I get either an "Address not valid" or "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message (which is what I got when I clicked on the HJT link in the "Before You Post" thread). What should I do?

I have updated SB S&D, immunized and no problems were found . . . but I DO have problems with the address changing. Thank goodness it doesn't seem to be having trouble with .org sites (or at least not yours!) and I was able to get here!

Thanks, in advance, for your assistance.

Deb

It turns out I did NOT have malware, but my DNS was poisoned. These are the steps I took to resolve the issue:

Go to server and click on DNS
Right click on NTServer
Click on Clear Cache

Now I'll download HJT so if I should ever need assistance, I'll be able to provide good information.

Thanks, anyway!

Deborah

Hi Deborah, it is likely malware caused the problem, if you want me to check, post that HJT log. I will close this topic in 48 hours with no response.

Thanks
