Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time.

Before we start, I will say I see nothing that looks like malware in the HJT log? There is a little debris and we can clean but first I need more information.

access violation: 2,070,000
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=+access+violation+&btnG=Search
There has to be more to the error message than you have posted. This may have nothing to do with malware but I will do what I can if you provide the complete error message word for word.

I apologize, I looked here: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=32991
and found the message but Google finds nothing. Could you check to make sure you posted it correctly.

Could you provide more information, like when did this start, does it happen only when you open/run Spybot S&D, anything you can think of that might help. Where does the message come from? Windows? Spybot?
If this is exclusive to Spybot, try uninstalling the program completely and reinstall it from here:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/
Sometimes during the download a file will go missing or corrupt, or a security program like the antivirus will block one.

Thanks

hi there,
here's the message entire.

"Access violation at 00401C49 in module "TeaTimer.exe"
write of address 0000000"

i think the number of zeros in the second set are right.
i believe the warning comes from windows itself.
i have had the warning pop-up about 5 or 6 times now, this has only occured
when i have been on the net,not just when i have been on emule.
if you google 00401C49 you will get a small number of pages(mainly chinese)
which seem to have a common theme of "crackme" i know very little about programming or scripting but these pages have a small script in notepad(i think)
which can be downloaded. hope this is helpful.
best regards
andy

http://www.emule.org/
The best p2p Client base on the eDonkey Network.
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=282

Because of this, we changed our malware forum's policy on the use of P2P file sharing programs.

If your helper detects the presence of such programs on your computer he/she will ask you to remove them. Help will be withdrawn should you not agree to their removal.
If we clean your computer of infection, and you return to us a short time later with an infection contracted by the use of P2P programs, volunteer analysts will refuse their help.
I suggest you try uninstalling Spybot S&D completely and then reinstalling it from here:
Spybot-S&D 1.6 has arrived! 8. July 2008
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/news/2008-07-08.html

If that does not fix it, and the folks at the Spybot forum can not help, I personally don't know what to tell you. I will suggest one scan to look for hidden malware.

Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time.
Second request to read and follow the directions:

All logs should be copy/pasted into topic and not attached unless requested by helper in that format.

Thanks

hi
sorry but the copy and paste doesn't work for me. when i try to paste(ie right click) the paste command is greyed out. if the attachment is not suitable,the only other ways i can think of are to either paste it into an e-mail or send it via ICQ. my ICQ number is 430046504 and an email is 3anson@live.co.uk or taffyattheport3@tiscali.co.uk
sorry again

Have a look here:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=copy%2Fpaste+not+working&btnG=Google+Search

You might see a solution here also:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

You are making a mistake posting your email, if the spambots find it, they will spam you relentlessly.

Thanks

hi
sorry,sites no help. i use firefox 3 and have had no probs pasting into any other
application.i do not have and will not use Internet Explorer, Firefox is far more secure. i understand if you don't like opening attachments from people you do not know.so if you do not look at the log don't worry about it, according to all the scans i have done since, i do not have any infection now. but do have a look at the hits when you google "00401C49"
my initial post was not so much for worry i had been infected as to let the guys and girls at Spybot Search and Destroy know that 'TeaTimer' may have been
cracked and by-passed.
best regards
