Hi Iv just installed Windows Vista Ultimate x64 bit , each time i install it and start putting my programs on it i start having problems , Mirco trend wont open to scan , iv done vundo fix and scanned online with a few scanners like panda and ewido but i cant fix this problem .
My computer is running slow when iv got 4gb ram and 2.2ghz overclocked to 2.4ghz ,my problem is everytime i connect to the internet explorer takes ages to open and then checking my internet speed it drop rappidly from using my 4500kbs to sometime like 1000kbs ,if i restart the internet again it seems to run ok again for a few seconds then dies again.
Can anyone please help me this is the fith time iv reinstalled and i keep getting tribalfusion and memwatcher cookies even after i delete them
PLEASE HELP !!!!!:( Im loosing my mind here

Hi Iv just managed to get hijackthis to run , as im using vista ultimate x64 it wouldnt run unless i changed it to run as windows server 2003 , here is the log , i hope this helps

Did you install Windows Vista Ultimate x64 bit on a system with a 64 Bit processor? Fresh installation or upgrade?

Hi Um I installed the x64 bit on my second harddrive , which i am running windows XP , my net speed have decreased dramaticly from 4500 down to 1200 or sometimes 789kb , iv found vundo on my windows XP drive and safe booted and removed it i hope , My processor is AMD 2400+ which is 64bit and my mobo is Asus M2n Sli Deluxe that can support the 64 , All seemed fine and then all windows updates would not download for XP or vista 64 , Then yieldmanager cookie and Memwatch cookie and tribal fusion cookies always keep reapearing , My config command opens the cmd box for a second then colses it again .
First harddrive is Windows XP home
Second harddrive is Windows Vista Ultimate x64
Im going crazy here iv tried so many net settings and firewall settings , virus scanners ,the net clicks on and when i do a speed test it gets its 4500+kbs then slowly dies down and sometimes even freezes .
I did update the motherboard bios and drivers.Microtrend keeps failing to , it wont scan or sometimes says windows firewall is not working please fix now and when i click fix now it says it cant .Iv reinstalled Microtrend about 5 times now on both operating system.

Also when i do get to open the CMD ,i can type ipconfig and try to ping google.com or others and all the time its request timed out

You have a possible infection on XP, this is what I would like you to do.
We have noticed that many people seeking help from us are coming with infections contracted from the use of P2P programs.
Because of this, we changed our malware forum's policy on the use of P2P file sharing programs.
If your helper detects the presence of such programs on your computer he/she will ask you to remove them. Help will be withdrawn should you not agree to their removal.
If we clean your computer of infection, and you return to us a short time later with an infection contracted by the use of P2P programs, volunteer analysts will refuse their help.
We do not ask you to do this without reason.
P2P (File Sharing ) programs form a direct conduit onto your computer, their security measures are easily circumvented, and Malware writers are increasingly exploiting them to spread their wares onto your computer. Further to that, if your P2P program is not configured correctly you may be sharing more files than you realise. There have been cases where people's Passwords, Address Books and other personal, private, and financial details have been exposed to the file sharing network by a badly configured program.
Many of the programs come bundled with other unwanted programs, but even the ones free of any bundled software are not safe to use.

When you use them you are downloading software from an unknown source directly onto your computer, bypassing your Firewall and Anti-Virus software. Hardly surprising then that many of these Downloads are being targeted to carry infections.
Bit Torrent <----Uninstall this via the Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Your running an outdated version of HJT, drag it to the trash and download and install the latest version by Trendmicro
Download Trendmicros Hijackthis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/_download/HJTInstall.exe) to your desktop.
Double click it to install
Follow the prompts and by default it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis\Highjackthis.exe
Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
Go to Edit> Select All.....Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread by using the Post Reply and not start a New Thread.
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Keep in mind if you install some of these programs. Only ONE Anti Virus and only ONE Firewall is recommended, more is overkill and can cause you problems. You can install all the Spyware programs I have listed without any problems. If you install Spyware Blaster, you can still install Spybot Search and Destroy but do not enable the TeaTimer in Spybot.
Here are some free programs to install, all free and highly regarded by the fine people in the Malware Removal Community

Check for Updates/ Immunize and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis. If you install Spyware Blaster ( Recommended ) then do not enable the TeaTimer in Spybot Search and Destroy.
Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html) It will prevent most spyware from ever being installed. No scan to run, just update about once a week and enable all protection.
Spyware Guard (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html) It offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts, again, no scan to run, just install it and let it do its thing.
IE-Spyad (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,23332-order,1-page,1-c,antispywaretools/description.html)
IE-Spyad places over 6000 web sites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
Firefox 3 (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) It has more features and is a lot more secure than IE. It is a very easy and painless download and install, it will no way interfere with IE, you can use them both.
