K-meleon 1.5

Using Spybot 1.6.0.30, K-meleon 1.5, Win XP SP 3.

I don't believe spybot is detecting k-meleon, at least I dont think it is, for instance nothing showing up in the immunization tab, no detections upon scanning.

I checked http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=30693&highlight=k-meleon, but could not locate the files mentioned anywhere.

I also tried running spybot with both k-meleon running and not running as a possible issue mentioned here http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=26642&highlight=detecting+browser

.. but as you have noticed, sometimes it is not recognized by SSD. I believe this is mostly due to KM's profile being (usually) in the parent dir where the main program was installed to rather than following the typical gecko behavior of keeping the profile separate from the parent dir in a %appdata% path. The exception to this is when KM is installed explicitly for multiple users (even if there's only one profile used), then the profile path is in the %appdata% branch and SSD recognizes it and KM should be on the Immunization page like any other gecko-type browser.

In my fairly loose familiarity with KM, this only happened once for me during a .7z install - all others were installed as single-user even if I tried to do the multi-user option (if it was even available during install). KM is a good lightweight browser, but has its quirks - most extensions have to be specially coded since it's not like Firefox or even SeaMonkey. Possibly in the future SSD may be more flexible at recognizing 'non-standard' browsers for immunization (like Portable App installs, etc). `Til then you could try a multi-user install of KM or simply depend on your usual AV + firewall, along with SSD's Teatimer & scans and Global hosts protection, as well as properly setting your KM prefs for max safety.
