Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
This can be a tough infection to remove so do not expect fast or easy.

You have some nasty junk on this computer so expect this to be work.

1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)

2) A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

Tutorial
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop.

Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the combofix log and a new HJT log.

Thanks

Thanks for returning your information, let's start with this item:

C:\Program Files\LimeWire
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=282

If your helper detects the presence of such programs on your computer he/she will ask you to remove them. Help will be withdrawn should you not agree to their removal.

We have a long way to go but must do this next step first. This item:
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\docume~1\aarons\locals~1\temp\ntdll64.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\docume~1\aarons\locals~1\temp\ntdll64.dll

Is a hijacker placed by the rouge spyware and it can not be removed by normal means, HJT will no longer remove 010 items because of the chance of breaking the internet connection. These are the steps we must take.

1) http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html <<< download this tool to your Desktop, it is for an emergency only and will likely not be needed.

2) Read this tutorial carefully so you will know what you are doing:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial59.html

3) Download lspfix from here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lspfix.php

This is the file you will be removing: ntdll64.dll
Once that is complete, restart and post a new HJT log so we can move to the next step.

Thanks...Phil

Thanks, Phil! I went in and removed the limewire and was shocked because I thought this was done when I deleted it through the control panel. Please let me know if I did not get it all.

Thanks for returning your information and good job following those instructions:bigthumb: This next phase is complex so read and follow the directions carefully. I am going to remove a lot of 016 DPF's (Downloaded Program Files) that are questionable. If I remove anything you use and need, you will be prompted to download the ActiveX again when you next visit the site.

1) Windows Defender
Click on "Tools"
Click on "General Settings"
Scroll down to "Real-time protection options"
Uncheck "Turn on Real-time protection (recommended)"
Click "Save"
Make sure to turn your protection back on when you finish.

2) Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:

File::
C:\.security
C:\WINDOWS\.security
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xyfszybw.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nwnoxkze.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\psrwxmhe.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\kzkpslyd.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\oxedinmr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dqhspqxg.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sbgtcjyx.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ircfqdeh.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\gryzqrid.exe

Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad]
"genapi"=-

Folder::
C:\Program Files\MSA
C:\Program Files\LimeWire
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\zgzulifk
C:\Program Files\PCHealthCenter
C:\Program Files\ggexamd

Save this as CFScript

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log. (wait until you finish to post the logs)

5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

*Cleaning Prefetch may results in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post the log from CFScript, the log from MBAM and a new HJT log.

Please tell me how the computer is running now.

Thanks...Phil

Phil, I did not upgrade the combofix when prompted. I hope this was okay. Please find listed below the logs requested. The Perfetch file had nothing except a configuration file in it.

The computer is a little slow on start up and that is all I have noticed right now.

Remove combofix from the computer like this:

Click START then RUN
Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

Thank you, soooo much! We seem to be in good shape now and will be taking all the necessary precautions. The computer is running faster and smoother. We have budgeted a donation on payday, and once again, Thank you!
