Hi there,
I recently installed windows Vista, and have managed to contract a number of malware infections already! I have performed a number of cleaning tasks, using SpyBot S&D, AVG free, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and hijack this, and seemed to be rid of all but the most sinister infection(s) - from what i've read here this probably wasn't a great idea either, i'm just a self help enthusiast.
My current problem is indicated by SpyBot S&D popups, beginning on startup (not in safe mode), warning me about registry changes.
The ones that seem to recurr are a change in
C:\Users\Max\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Manager.exe
And one that says an added entry "cmds"
And something about a file called "08.php"
I didn't write these ones down unfortunately.
When I try to navigate to the location indicated above, the adobe folder concerned appears to have nothing of the sort in it.
I'm now getting popups from S&D which I assume are from me editing the registry (I know, i'm an idiot) to stop skype and Demon tools loading on startup, but I don't know so I'm not allowing them!
