I'm sitting at my wife's home PC [windows XP (sp3), pentium 4, Windows IE, etc.). I downloaded SS&D 1.6 and installed it. No apparent issues.

After updating, I ran immunization. NOTHING was immunized. OK. I performed the UNDO immunization and re-immunized. Again NOTHING was immunized.

WHAT is making it so difficult to immunize??????

It shouldn't be this "difficult."

OK. I uninstall the program, reboot the computer and AGAIN download from the home site. This takes about 20 minutes.

THIS TIME I uncheck the automatic update option and after the program is installed, manually update.

I follow the instructions EXACTLY.... I wait to immunize until AFTER the update.

NO FILES ARE IMMUNIZED!! EVERY file is unprotected. So.......... I run UNDO and reimmunize. As before, no change -- ALL files remain unprotected. 84,000 FILES ARE UNPROTECTED -- ZERO PROTECTED.

SOMEONE MUST KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON!!! HELP!

Louisaz:

Make sure no browsers are open at the moment.

Run Spybot-Search&Destroy (provided with the latest updates [definitions])>Click on 'Immunize' (tab).

Click on Immunize. After than click on it again.

The Immunize button has a green cross.
