firefox 3 settings deleted

Spybot 1.4 ran a scheduled system check today, afterward, all the custom settings in firefox 3 were deleted! I lost all the bookmarks, homepage url, etc.

Even worse, I couldn't do a restore of the bookmarks from firefox. And when I browse websites, there is NO history that can be recorded (hence no back/forward between websites).

Anyone have similar problems or a solution?

install spybot 1.6 and see if that helps you with your problems, but that will not restore your bookmarks.

I *think* there are logfiles for scheduled scans,but not 100% certain.You could post the spybot logfile.
Open Spybot,click Mode,Advanced Mode,Tools,View Report,View Previous Report,locate the checks or fixes logfile made today,doubleclick it,rightclick somewhere in the Spybot window,choose Select All,then rightclick,select Copy,then paste it here.
