I ran AVG and found multiple infections that could not be healed or quarantined. Ran spybot in safe mode and fixed all problems. Ran Kaspersky and found 9 infections. I have included scan log and HJTlog below.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Thank you,
Gordon

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.
Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.
Gordon, the last time this member's signin was used they were called Kevin? and HJT was properly placed?
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=20382
If you still need help, read the directions and properly place HJT:
Download Trend Micro Hijack This™ to your Desktop
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/hijackthis/HJTInstall.exe
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.
and I will be glad to look at it.
Thanks
Thank you for your help!
Kevin is my son and we tried to signin with gordman1955 and it would not let us, so we used Kevin's signin. HJT should be properly placed and the log is attached below.
Thank you,
Gordon

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback. The Kaspersky Online Scan (KOS) is a little strange in that it is not showing the drive for a couple of the infections:
E:\
svchost.exe\svchost.exe <<< no drive
lsass.exe\fxyorwc.dll <<< no drive
C:\WINDOWS\system32\fxyorwc.dll
C:\WINDOWS\temp\ndp8.tmp
What is E:\ ? Possible it is a flash or USP drive?
Let's run combofix for other infections I see in the HJT log and we will come back to KOS items.
1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)
2) A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.
Tutorial
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix
Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.
Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.
It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop.
Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop
Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
Post the combofix log and a new HJT log.
Thanks
E: is an external hard drive. HJT and combofix log are attached.
Thank you for your help. Gordon

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback. Do you have that external hard drive plugged in when you ran Kaspersky Online Scan (KOS)? If so, those items are probably there. Make sure it is plugged in when MBAM is run, it scans all drives. After MBAM has been run, scan E:\ with KOS and post the results.
1) C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_05\ <<< update Java, see this:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:
(damaged)
O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgssie.dll (file missing)
(obsolete)
O16 - DPF: {193C772A-87BE-4B19-A7BB-445B226FE9A1} (ewidoOnlineScan Control) - http://downloads.ewido.net/ewidoOnlineScan.cab
Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
*Cleaning Prefetch may results in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html
5) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.
How is the computer running?
Thanks
Thank you for your help. I made sure the E:\ was plugged in. The results and the HJTlog are attached below.

http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Jos61.sys <<< scan this file here >>> http://virusscan.jotti.org/
Here are two more scanners if jotti is busy.
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
http://www.virustotal.com/
Post the results of that scan for me to view.
The three files MBAM found are infected System Restore files we will clean those soon.
Scan with KOS making sure you scan the same as you did the first time and post the results.
Mention any malware issues you have.
Thanks
I could not scan file C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Jos61.sys
Noted: a possible firewall may be keeping it from finding the file. What do I need to do? Thank you.

What do I need to do?
I can not scan it from here and have no such driver in my drivers folder on this computer with Windows XP pro. You can see combofix does not remove it but I see Ried (combofix expert)
http://www.techsupportforum.com/security-center/hijackthis-log-help/218095-confused-computer.html
Removes the item in that topic with CFScript in #8
Ried: Assistant Manager, TSF Academy; Moderator/Analyst Security Team
You can look at properties for the file and try again to gain information but I will let you decide to remove it. One possible thought, if you delete it, it will go to your Recycle Bin where it can be restored if need be. You can leave it in the Bin for a week or so before you clean the Bin. Be careful with automated cleaning tools like ATF-Cleaner that might empty the RB for you.
Please complete the rest of the last instructions.
Thanks
I found the JOS61sys file and scanned it and have attached it and the KOS scan below. Thank you.

Disclaimer
This service is by no means 100% safe. If this scanner says 'OK', it does not necessarily mean the file is clean. There could be a whole new virus on the loose. NEVER EVER rely on one single product only, not even this service, even though it utilizes several products. Therefore, We cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage caused by results presented by this non-profit online service.
Also, we are aware of the implications of a setup like this. We are sure this whole thing is by no means scientifically correct, since this is a fully automated service (although manual correction is possible). We are aware, in spite of efforts to proactively counter these, false positives might occur, for example. We do not consider this a very big issue, so please do not e-mail us about it. This is a simple online scan service, not the university of Wichita.
Scanning can take a while, since several scanners are being used, plus the fact some scanners use very high levels of (time consuming) heuristics. Scanners used are Linux versions, differences with Windows scanners may or may not occur. Another note: some scanners will only report one virus when scanning archives with multiple pieces of malware.
Virus definitions are updated every hour. There is a 10Mb limit per file. Please refrain from uploading tons of hex-edited or repacked variants of the same sample.
Please do not ask for viruses uploaded here, unless you work for an anti-virus vendor. They are not for trade. This is a legitimate service, not a VX site. Viruses uploaded here will be distributed to antivirus vendors without exception. Read more about this in our privacy policy. If you do not want your files to be distributed, please do not send them at all.

Based on that information, I would delete that file:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Jos61.sys <<< in red
KOS is also clean, so...
Remove combofix from the computer like this:
Click START then RUN
Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

Clean those infected System Restore files like this:
Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Reboot
Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Run MBAM again to make sure we got all of the junk, no need to post a clean scan result.
What are you going to run for an antivirus program? Here are three to choose from if you need them. Do not install more than one.
