Hi All.

I have been using Spybot 1.4 for a while and have found that it is quite efficient and quick in protecting my system. I tried Spybot 1.5 and found it totally bogged my system down so I resorted back to 1.4. I then tried 1.6 when it was released, and I found that although faster than 1.5, when I browsed ANY folder in my system, it took several 2-3 seconds to refresh folders and subfolders, etc.

I uninstalled spybot 1.6 and it seemed to clear the problem and I put 1.4 on again for now.

Has anyone encountered this kind of situation? My system is a P4-D @3.0Ghz and 2 GB of RAM. Not a super duper system, but no slouch either.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

Disabling the SDHelper should help.
Please run Spybot - Search & Destroy and switch to the Advanced mode via the menu item Mode.
Now select 'Tools' - 'Resident' from the navigation bar on the left.
Please untick the checkbox in front of the 'SDHelper'.
