Hi,

Hope this isn't elsewhere on the forum, if so please redirect me if that's the case.

I run Spybot, just installed on my new comp. running Vista. It has twice announced a change in the reg.; I forget the first application but the second is an ITunes thing that runs at startup (and in the background, and I don't want it) so I hit to always disallow. Then, about five balloons all pop up on the right hand side of my screen with the top one popping and reloading, so to speak, constantly. The only way to stop this process is to end the task, which is "not responding" in my Task Manager.

Any ideas, please??

Thank you!

right click teatimer, and uncheck show info balloons. Restart the computer. Also, please make sure spybot is updated!!

but I can't find TeaTimer anywhere...not in my system tray, not in my program files (not in the C://), and not in SpyBot's menus themselves...

Please advise, and again I'm sorry for asking something so dumb. Vista is new, and the whole layout is very different. I never had to adjust anything in SpyBot before, I just let it happily run.

The TeaTimer icon (Spybot Resident Shield) will look like the third icon in the attachment:

Whether that be the Vista or Windows XP Operating System, the Spybot-Search&Destroy GUI will be the same for both. What version of Spybot are you running (Help>About)?

If TeaTimer is running... then go check by:
Spybot>Mode>Advanced Mode>Okay>Tools>Resident. The second box should say "Resident: Protection of overall-settings".

Is it checked?
