Browser hijacked

One of our office computers has gotten some kind of trojan or hijacker installed on it, which originally just hijacked the web browser searches, but now it's just freezing the computer on startup. Spybot can't seem to find whatever it is.

Troj/Gozi-Gen is a backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.

New one on me, I am not really sure what this hacker is after, but they have complete access to this computer, if it is networked, likely to all computers on the network.

A Backdoor is a software program that gives an attacker unauthorized access to a machine and the means for remotely controlling the machine without the user's knowledge. A Backdoor compromises system integrity by making changes to the system that allow it to by used by the attacker for malicious purposes unknown to the user.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.
This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files
I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.
Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Well, that sure doesn't sound good.

The computer now won't even start up, which may or may not be a hardware issue. It's a relatively new computer, so I suspect that this backdoor trojan has something to do with it. The power button just doesn't do anything at all. How would you recommend I proceed? There are certainly some files on the computer that we'd like to save if we need to reformat the machine.

Also, I am currently posting from another computer on the same router which is not networked with the first (but was at one point). I've run HJT from this computer, can you let me know if there's anything on this computer that I need to be concerned about?

It's a relatively new computer
If it is still under warranty, I suggest you return it where you purchased it.

If it is not under warranty and You can not get the computer to start (make sure it is plugged in) then you will probably need a local technician. If you can get it started and want to reformat, here are links to help:
