I also have virtumonde on my computer. It has disabled my automatic updates. When I first used spybot, it found 6 files infected. I've done some reading in this forum and have since updated Java. After doing this, I am down to 2 infected files. I've done the whole safe mode thing, removed them numerous times, and they keep coming back. I have also downloaded ComboFix.exe, HijackThis, and ATF-Cleaner.exe from the links on other forums. It was clearly emphasized that ComboFix isn't something to fool around with, so I don't want to do anything to my computer without help.

I searched around a bit more in this forum and downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. I installed, updated, and ran the program. It took a while to scan the entire computer (a little over an hour each time), but worked well. I did not need to boot up my computer in safe mode either. The first scan revealed:

Memory Processes Infected: 0
Memory Modules Infected: 2
Registry Keys Infected: 12
Registry Values Infected: 3
Registry Data Items Infected: 2
Folders Infected: 0
Files Infected: 19

It deleted most of the problems immediately and said it would delete more by restarting my computer. So, I restarted and then ran the program again. This time it revealed:

Memory Processes Infected: 0
Memory Modules Infected: 0
Registry Keys Infected: 2
Registry Values Infected: 0
Registry Data Items Infected: 0
Folders Infected: 0
Files Infected: 1

That was a big step in the right direction, so I once again restarted my computer and ran it a third time revealing:

Memory Processes Infected: 0
Memory Modules Infected: 0
Registry Keys Infected: 0
Registry Values Infected: 0
Registry Data Items Infected: 0
Folders Infected: 0
Files Infected: 0

YAY!!!!!! Everything was fixed. I ran spybot as well to double-check and it also found no problems.
