I have had much success using Spybot and update on a weekly basis. Today(2006-4-2) the update is showing 3 items as follows:
Advanced Detection Routines dated 2006-3-10
Detection Rules dated 2006-4-1
Detections Support Routines dated 2006-3-10

The items dated in March have not listed before today so I was somewhat confused:scratch: . We have not had that happen before. I am wondering if we have a problem with our computer. I didn't update those today because I was afraid we have an issue that needed to be resolved first.

We use AVG antivirus, Windows ME if this info is needed.

Thanks for the help.

I got the same updates as 4granny today too. I update regularly. Are these legitimate/safe to download?

... this weekends update included an updated detection engine that will make heuristics - detection of yet unknown threats - much easier.

I guess these updates are the engine updates that's mention above.

dk2005 is right, they are the mentioned upgrades, they were included since 2006-3-10 with beta state, now the state changed to release, that is why you can now normally download them.
the date has not been changed, sorry to have you confused with that :o
