Hi, how do I set Spybot 1.6.0 to ignore my Drive E (optical drive) during a scan, as I keep getting a message saying there is no disc in the drive, and being an optical drive it does not require scanning?
Thank you.

There are no settings in Spybot to scan or exclude specific drives.
Normally Spybot would not attempt to scan an optical device assigned to drive E unless you added an entry to the Advanced mode > Settings > Directories function to scan something on that drive or there is a registry entry such as a startup entry pointing to something on that drive.
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Directories and make sure there is no entry pointing to drive E. Then go into Tools > System Startup and see if there is a startup entry pointing to drive E. If you don't find an entry in either of those places than the only thing I can suggest is that you scan the registry for references to drive E:.
