Hello,

Does anybody know how to solve the following problem with the windows xp autoplay function? :)

When inserting a cd or usb stick the autoplay function displays, but it does not display the "show files and folders" anymore. :(

Best regards

Hello Sandra :cowboy:.

I'm not sure what you meant by not seeing the files and folders... do you mean the USB Flash Drive does not display in My Computers?

But, I did get some information about the AutoPlay feature. More like disabling it, if that's what you want.

spybotsandra:

From Windows Help and Support Center searching for "Autoplay".

To change how your computer handles multimedia content
Open My Computer.
Under Devices with Removable Storage, right-click the device you want, such as a digital camera or CD-ROM drive, and then click Properties.
On the AutoPlay tab, click the multimedia content type you want to change.
Under Actions, click the action you want Windows to perform when it detects the media type you selected.
Notes
To open My Computer, click Start, and then click My Computer.
Your removable storage device must be attached to your computer for it to appear in the My Computer folder.
__________

From your discription I believe you want to select "Open folder to view files" under Actions.
