I am using Windows XP Pro SP3, and Spypot 1.6. Accidentially I installed Firefox browser, later I found that those "Unprotects" under Firebox cannot be immunized!! Even I removed Firefox, Spypot still have these "Unprotects" entries and still cannot be immunized.

Could anybody help?? Thanks in advance...

Hello,

Please try the following:
Go to the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

There please delete the permissions.sqlite and generate a new file for the hostperm.1 that is empty.
Now please immunize again.
That should solve the problem.

This information is also available in our forum:

I can locate permissions.sqlite in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\iblo6yj0.default.

I deleted it and create hostperm.1, but whenever I do immunize, the "unprotects" still there, and permissions.sqlite will automatically be generated again!!!

I have put hostperm.1 in different level of folders under C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox, but it still doesn't work!!! permissions.sqlite will always be generated!!!

I already have Firefox removed, can I removed any folders completely to solve the trouble.

Please offer help again!!!!!!!!
