Our other thread got closed.

I just wanted to say again thank you for helping me, and just to defend myself a little I am very safe when it comes to the internet. I just really needed a certain program and it just happened to get me.

But yes I could be better, and should probably shell out the cash for that program lol.

Everything is fine, but I am having some explorer.exe problems every once in a while. Thats not your problem though.

Windblown,

These threads get archived if no response in awhile. When you say explorer.exe problems, are you referring to your browser crashing, let me know exactly whats going on.???

Why don't you post a new HJT log and lets see if anything returned

Sorry about being so late getting to you. I've been swamped with work and school work its not even funny! Anywho this report is right after a cold boot because of this damned explorer.exe problem. It doesn't start with explorer though. Usually aim6.exe will shoot to 49% resources then when I close it and try to click the start button explorer.exe shoots to 50% and I cant do anything. Idk if this is a virus problem or not but if you can help that would be great.

Your log looks fine, try scanning with an online virus scanner if you can. You can try booting to safemode with network support and run it that way if you can't get to run in normal windows.

To Enter Safemode

Go to Start> Shut off your Computer> Restart
As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY somewhat rapidly,
this will bring up a menu.
Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to Safemode with Network Support
Then press the Enter Key on your Keyboard

Tutorial if you need it How to boot into Safemode (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html)

Please run this free online virus scanner from ESET (http://www.eset.eu/online-scanner)

Note: You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan
Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
Click Start
When asked, allow the activex control to install
Click Start
Make sure that the option Remove found threats is ticked, and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
Click Scan
Wait for the scan to finish
Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic

Keep an eye on your system and post back if the problem starts again. I will keep this thread open for you for a bit.
