Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.

I did use the smitfraud fix after discovering I had that bug
Do NOT run 'FIXES' before helpers have analyzed the HJT log
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=16806

Do you have the report Smitfraudfix generated? I would like to see what it removed.

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix on your own. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

Tutorial
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Remove any old copies of combofix before you proceed.

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop.

Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the combofix log and a new HJT log.

Thanks

Also I wanted to admit I did download the tool from your site SpyBotSD after I posted originally, was not trying to do anthing wrong just get to a point where I could do what was needed.. If you want me to uninstall any of these items I will, I know now I probably should have just waited.

Sorry if i made the fix any more difficult,I know you guys are amazing.

Thanks for returning your information, you will have issues until we get all of the junk off your computer. Please read and follow the directions carefully and in the numbered order.

TeaTimer was NOT running in the first HJT log, if it was I would have instructed you to disable it? You are making both our jobs more difficult:sad:

1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)

2) Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

3) Spyware Doctor <<< disable this program until we are finished.
From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".

4) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

5) Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\ewte.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\emggarys.ini
C:\WINDOWS\system32\syraggme.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\tssbsmtu.ini

Save this as CFScript

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log. (wait until you finish to post the logs)

6) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://www.safewebnavigate--2008.com...id=0&pn=&pid=1
O16 - DPF: {193C772A-87BE-4B19-A7BB-445B226FE9A1} (ewidoOnlineScan Control) - http://downloads.ewido.net/ewidoOnlineScan.cab
(obsolete)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

*Cleaning Prefetch may results in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

8) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post the log from CFScript, the log from MBAM and a new HJT log.

How is the computer running now? If you receive any error message I must see them "word for word"

Thanks

Ok I am following the advice and downloaded all programs. Am at the conclusion of Combo fix
However I realized I missed one part of your instruction and need to know if I shouuld start over? Or do a second scan after completeing this instruction?
Sorry Im such a doofus and didnt notice this direction.

2) Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

I have the program just didnt click it.
Thanks

I would prefer you finish the instructions instead of going back. If we need to run the batch file we will do so later. If we do not use it, delete it later. It all depends on the two items HJT needs to remove. TeaTimer may block the change.

Also during the Malware scan *And many other times MCaffe keeps giving me warnings about a "PUPx.. Here is the last warning seen.

McAfee has blocked a potentially unwanted program (PUP) on your computer. If you do not recognize it, we recommend that you remove the program.

About this Potentially Unwanted Program
Name: Tool-NirCmd
Location: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{5032127D-B0A3-4227-97BF-F20D78082211}\RP381\A0138590.com

Spyware, adware, and other potentially unwanted programs can harm your computer, compromise its security, and damage valuable files.
I keep getting these PUP warnings..

Before I started working with this forum I had chosen the "Remove program" option, yet it never does.
These last times I opted to just ignore the popups

C:\System Volume Information\_restore <<< this is System Restore and we will clean those soon. I can never get over how a program like McAfee that did not protect you from the infection, wants to interfere when you are trying to clean the infection. What say you?
If you look at the MBAM log "Files Infected" those are files in combofix quarantine and System Restore. we will clean those soon. This is the next import step:

I am sure you saw this:
WARNING -THIS MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE THE RECOVERY CONSOLE INSTALLED !!
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix
Review that information to understand Recovery Console. Installation is optional but if you do not have the CD's needed, as is explained, it can be installed before we remove combofix.
If you do not have access to Recovery Console via a Windows CD, I strongly advise you to install this tool.
If you do not wish to install RC, let me know so I can continue with the cleanup.
If you install RC, post the C:\*CF-RC.txt*.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/RC1-4.gif

Since we do not need to scan with combofix, click NO

I totally agree about McAfee.. Where were they when I needed them ????

At this moment I am visiting family, and will be home to followup this evening.
(Getting a bit burnt out staring at this laptop for days/hours on end  )

Anyway I will absolutely install the suggested tool then, and appreciate your help more then words can say. You guys are incredible.

Since I will be installing the resore tool, if you have further instructions for me to follow after I do so and post the log provided Please let me know and Ill do all I can this evening after I return and be able to post the appropriate logs. Otherwise Ill just post the recovery log.

Thanks again

Good job installing Recovery Console:bigthumb: here is a little information.

Recovery Console is a tool that will allow you to recover from a catastrophic system failure, so let's hope you never need it. Many experts believe Microsoft should have installed it by default.

Remove combofix from the computer like this:

Click START then RUN
Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

Clean infected System Restore files like this:

Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot

Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Update MBAM and scan to be sure we missed none of the junk, there is no need to post a clean scan result.

Update McAfee and scan the system to be sure it is working right and scanning clean. If you have any problems with the program, contact tech support for instructions.

Thanks for all your help Phil.
I followed to restore directions and updated MBAM.
I am running a Full scan of C:D: Drives right now.
I know this will take some time.
So I wanted to ask. If this scan turns out fine should I delete any of the other files I downloaded to clean my system or just keep them for later?
And any advice on what to run to keep this garbage away is appreciated.
I read those links (And thank you) and wonder if you can say what works well in the background with MCafee. Should I keep the Search and Destroy program, running, TeaTime ? And the MBAM program?
I know the main thing is Billy to just be more diligent in NOT downloading things, but Id like some back up for him :)..
And when in trouble seek help before trying to self fix.

Ill post the log if anything pops up in the current scanning but Im only 10 minutes into it.
Thanks

Thanks. (Billy's sister, Teresa)

Thanks for the questions, please read the links I provided in closing from experts, after having done that, if you still have questions post them.

ATF-Cleaner and MBAM are freeware, you may do with them as you wish. I can say you will not find a better small free cleaner than ATF-Cleaner anywhere, and MBAM is often blocked by malware preventing it from being downloaded. Neither tool uses any resources when not running.

Hope that helps...
