My machine has slowed way down, and am curious if there is anything that i should get rid of. any help would be appreciated.

Hi John, this is the malware removal forum and we would normally expect you to address those issues a a good Windows XP forum.
I will take a look and post links if you need to move on.

1) Malware can hide from HJT and you are running MSConfig (System Configuration Utility) in Selective Startup mode and I have no idea what you turned off. If you should post another HJT log, I must see it in Normal mode.

2) You have SP#3 installed, did you notice that the slow down occured when you did that installation, many folks are experiencing some slowdown.

3) I do see lots of Running Processes that are probably not needed all of the time and of course, lack of regular maintenance can cause this. See these links:
