windows vista will not update.

Hello I believe my computer is infected with malware, after reading a few forums on other people having similar problems.

I run windows update and it opens the page but only dispays a blank white page. and the window becomes unresponsive. i have to go to task manager to end task it. task manager says its running.

I have zone alarm pro and spybot S&D installed neather seem to find the problem.

I downloaded hijackthis and have this log file. i tried removing a few items that i wanted gone that i never willingly installed on the computer. yahoo tool bar and ask tool bar. did not help.

after further digging into my computers software i found my revert to factory defaults button. I have not used it yet. as i would like to find the error with my system first.

If you all would prefer I use that rather than dig into my software i will.

For now i will wait for a responce from you.
