This thread will be used for showing computer info. Instead of adding system information in signature, I will use a link to post in a signature to see more information about computer. The reason is that I can't add more info or something else in a signature because the limit is 200 characters (400 if BBcode included). My 2nd post will show some info about my computer. The post count number (right side of post; it looks like this: #2) contains a link which shows the post as a single. I will copy a link address to a signature and my signature will contain a liink which contains my computer info. If you want to do this, you can reply and add computer info. Note: Don't add computer info and reply text together.

Tom K, you have a decent configuration, however a major flaw is the dated versions of the programs installed on your computer. With a software and hardware firewall, your computer is as good as it gets.
-
Since, you run Windows XP OS, you should have sufficient resources to upgrade. Just my opinion.

 Sorry, but I don't understand you... your security tools should be always up to date (you know this as well)... :banghead:

What do you mean exactly with traffic limit ?

Tom.K
2009-11-14, 20:31
I can't update Avira so easily. It takes too long to download update. I'm downloading updates from softpedia from other computers and then I transfer update to my computer. About traffic limit, have 1 GB traffic limit pre month and I've used 590 MB. I'm trying to not pass that limit (addiction). Daily I should use only about 30-20 MB. Updating software could make this usage worse, like Windows Live Messenger, I've wasted 20 MB when I've canceled updating. I had to repeat updating from the beginning. Next month when I get 10GB limit, I'll update all software which I'm able to.

and who cannot forget OpenDNS? :clown:

Man, I don't know how I can live with a dial-up w/ cap :lip:.
Maybe Winamp too as my music player since I've dumped iTunes after I gave away my iPod Touch. The only thing that I found useful was the iTunes Store . But others might see different. I do not encode music or burn them, so it would not matter much to me.
